GREEN AND LIVING ROOF MAINTENANCE
MAINTAINING A LIVING GREEN ROOF
Equally as important as the installation of your new green roof is the maintenance and after care. Just as when a new garden is planted, once a living roof is installed it will need to be maintained in order to ensure that the plants establish well, and over the first year it will need to be monitored in order to make sure that the installation is establishing as expected.
Maintenance on an extensive roof may include the removal of invasive or nuisance plants that may have self-seeded, plant replacement, fertilizing if required and general inspection of substrate compaction and drainage. Intensive roof systems might require a a higher level of maintenance including mowing, strimming, pruning and irrigation system checks.
GREEN ROOF MAINTENANCE COSTS
Costs for maintenance will vary depending on the roof type, planting scheme and access but Landmark Living Roofs can provide a highly competitive maintenance scheme or one off cost tailored to suit your individual roof, needs and budget.
